Anyone on here familiar with rFactor? Not really a gamer myself but a friend who is turned me onto it. Fan-bloody-tastic!!! driving simulators have
come a long way since I last looked. The game is 'open source' so individuals can create tracks and cars (mods) with incredible accuracy.
there's loads freely available online. I downloaded Castle Combe (my local circuit) and a Caterham, plugged an £80 Logitec wheel and pedals into
my PC and can honestly say I'm almost exactly as crap on the simulator as I am in real life, it's that accurate
Would love to hear of a locostbuilders league or if anyone here more computer savvy than me could create one (and maybe a few more BECs)

I've got it but cant get it to run at a decent resolution for some reason.
I have all the GTR games and race etc. Have lots of the mods for them - cadwell park is good!
1GB!
downloading now
is it easy to make a new car for it then?
I've got it - I had a go with it prior to this year's Birkett Relay which was held on the 'old' GP circuit at Silverstone. It certainly helped me get a handle on which way the corners went (I hadn't driven that particular circuit before) and the vehicle dynamics are pretty good.
love this game,
there is a catheram good mod, and others that have very good physic.
Too lot of british tracks, get a eye on rfactorcentral.com
A Locostbuilders ligue, no ?
Anyone get it to run at 1920x1080?
Never mind downloading it - get it bought! Both my copies together cost less than £15...
There are mods for all sorts. Cateringvan mod (with BECs and CECs) is a laugh. My rfactor performance around Oulton matched the Indy in real-life -
even down to the 360 at Druids... There are some pretty good Clio Cup and Mini downloads, too - all free if you register at rfactorcentral.
I'd be interested in some Locostbuilders online evenings: it's either rfactor or TT RRRC on the PS2.

grr took 5 hours to download, then the computer said it didn't have enough space and cancelled the download, but only after it downloaded the whole thing
