Robinhood getting sneaky again!
scotty g - 1/11/06 at 08:01 PM

Hi all, just been reading a thread on the RHOCAR site, seems that some of the community members there have unearthed an E-Bay scam involving the new owners of RobinHood (Great British SportsCars)
Here

Cheers.

good god thats worse than shill bidding, thats implying that equity was taken out before it liquidated by selling stuff cheap, only to be bought back cheap to add value after it liquidated. If so that would be serious fraud...

Probably right that the thread has been locked on rhocar, i can only hope someone reported it to the police.

If theres anything worse than scammers, its thick scammers who cant even do it cleverly...

Any chance RH could come back from the brink?

If so its not THAT big a deal is it?

I notice all their items have been removed by ebay . Somebody snitched.

JoelP - 1/11/06 at 08:23 PM

It is, cos the liquidators will have written off all the old debts when they went bust, unless ive misunderstood. Then new owner gets the remains cheap and buys back old assets. This would require a sneaky deal between the old and new owners.

Of course, theres no apparent proof that this has happened.

As an aside, reading the forum, it seems lightweight trev has sold his courtesy 2b and bought a mojo.

its more like the numnuts bought there own cars - and just left good feedback , albeit to try and raise the price of the item. i dont think those vehicles went anywhere !!!!

Ah i get u, i was thinking there were no new owners n just hoping the extra cash could bring them back

Whatever the truth it doesn't do much to improve their already fragile reputation.
The new owners need to be seen as whiter than white in order to rebuild a good customer relationship.

Good to see Trevs experiences haven't totally scared him away from kits, i wish him all the best with his Mojo.

JoelP - 1/11/06 at 09:05 PM

he still logs on so maybe we'll get another post out of him one day!

Hi guys,

Yes, it is true, the 2B was "ebay'd" off and collected last weekend.
At Totalkitcar live I put a deposit down on a Mojo, collection date of 8th Dec.
In the end, I just wanted to get out of the whole situation
This thread covers all of the info.

For anyone that's interested, my new mojo build website is at
www.sylvamojo.blogspot.com

Thanks for all your support throughout what was a very difficult time for me.

Mojo Trev. (Better change the user name!)

It looks like this:

Print screen doesn't work to capture it, Paint Shop Pro does tho'. I've already U2U'd ChrisW about it.

JackNco - 1/11/06 at 11:17 PM

jolson - 2/11/06 at 07:42 AM

Don't know how that happened... asleep at the wheel!

I picked out an image, and then pressed every button I could find.... isn't that how it works?
