I had 2 sections of liver removed also along with my gall bladder and apendix.
The results are in it is cancer, non- hodgins B-cell lymphoma to be precise.

Hope everything goes well, and you'll soon be on the road to a full recovery
Andy
Good to hear you got through the surgery, bet it's all rather sore right now.
Sorry, but not surprised, to that the cancer was confirmed.
Good luck with the Chemo, it's tough, but I'm sure you'll get through it. 90% of recovery is attitude so stay positive.
I've updated my avatar to a reasonable representation to how I looked after the 4th cycle
Best Wishes to you Liam.
Where you are is not a nice place to be, from your own perspective, and that of you family around you. I have been in the position of the family
member with my mother so you and your family have my best wishes for the future.
Be very positive, you can and will beat this and be back on the road soon.

Sitting up hurts a bit eh?
Steve.
Bloody impressed that you're online from your bed, Liam!
That kind of attitude will see you through and you know that you have lots of people on here routing for you.
All the very best Liam, my thoughts are with you.
Regards
Bob
All the very best for a speedy reecovery. Hope it's as painless as possible.
Good luck! As you can see, there's a few survivors on here and you'll meet many more as time goes on. Stay positive as best you can. I was colon cancer but it sounds like the recovery will be similar. I was hobbling like an old woman for almost a month after the 8 inch hole they sliced in me.
Thinking of you all the best look after your self
Graham
its not fun having stuff out , ive had 6-8 inch out of small intestine .
i was tho in the pub having a pint of guiness 7 days later . It affects people in different ways , im sure youll be up and about and wanting to get on
with things fairly quickly .
Best Wishes Liam!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery from me too.
Cheers
Fred W B
All the best. Keep smiling and don't let the b****** get you down.

Fozzie
Hope your recovery is, as my dad would say, "quicker than a whippet with a bum full of dynamite"
Liam,
I'm not going to bore you with the details but wife went through exactly the same some time ago, a rough ride but came out the other side, we had
highs, we had lows, but one thing for sure it made us realise what we have is so precious and we both came out of it better people.
Good luck, remember the whole locost fraternity is backing you all the way.
Hope it goes well Liam. Glad to hear you got through the opp OK.
Ivan
Tough break re the cancer - Good Luck with the fight/recovery!
Liam, you have a U2U !
Liam, all the best for a rapid recovery.
For now just think of all the cool things you can do once they've fixed you

Well you are past the first hurdle!!!
The thing to keep in mind if the docs thought there was no point they would not have operated so it is good news in a way.
Chin up. There will some tough times ahead but I'm sure you'll get through all of that.
Liam,
We all seem to know someone nowadays who has been affected with cancer and without a doubt there will be some tough times ahead... BUT, and it's
a big BUT! You can get through it and will get through it, keep us posted with progress and good luck with the next stages of chemo etc
All the best,
Steve and Milenah and Rowdy!
Edited to add: And please, please, don't choose this week to try and beat your bar-bending record!!!

Heh Liam, Thought I'd stick a post on here too- my sister went through a terrible time with cancer and revealed herself to be an incredibly
strong person who loved life and is sticking with it. She really valued the support of everyone around her so if you are feeling abit beaten up just
scroll through the list of well wishers on here!

Here's to a quick recovery!
It's amazing what can happen nowadays with modern medicine and a positive attitude....
I'll go round my local roundabout (sideways) a few extra times in your honour next time I'm out in the Locopan.... Some good luck
sacrificial tyre smoke....
just stay positive and concentrate on getting well
Best wishes and keep posting
Rich
hey Liam,
good luck with everything.
Best Wishes, and hope you make a speedy recovery
Echoing all above, keep your chin up and sincerely I hope things go well for you.
Same here Liam. Everything is crossed for speedy recovery. Lets hope this hiccup on your new life is over soon and you enjoy the future. As said
before, although i dont have direct experience. i believe recovery is proportional to your outlook on life. Positive is the way to go.
And remember - nobody wants to look like ianK for longer than necessary
No laughing till you heal a bit.
Just wanted to add my very best wishes .... hope you feel better soon ... stay positive
Good luck Liam. There's a whole heap of people out here wishing you well.
Good luck with the recovery Liam - and if you're interested have a look at NLP for helping with cancer as it can make a huge difference in recovery. U2U me if you need more info.
Went thru non-hodgkins myself just a year ago. Was Stage 4. Now docs can't find a trace thru PET scans or Flow Cytometry.
All The Best,
Brian
Just found this thread as I was wondering how you are getting on.
Good luck matey. Hope the nurses are up to standard
Wishing you a speedy recovery all the best.
