I have bought a 2nd hand type 9 extension of the rally design type, unfortunately with no fitting instructions.
To locate the new fork on the gear change control rod I presume you have to remove the plastic sleeve that fits over the control rod. Does this lever
out or do you have to cut it off ?
Is it necessary to make the pressed steel cover which is in the back of the gearbox, a close fit on the new shaft or just enough to keep the road
dirt out.
Thanks
Richard
The little plastic bit should lift out with a bit of force.
I never bothered with the rear plate after i had removed it.
Cheers
Info much appreciated, just didn't want to make a Barrichello of it.
I have one of these that is playing up on my box so I am going to get a brand new one. Can you fit without removing the box?
