Ah now I can see a photo.
Looks like the bush on the end of a suspension arm.
A smaller picture, taken from further away, might be better.

Slightly better shot, its the custom looking stainless part that im trying to identify, theres one on each side.

Could be an anti roll system but hard to tell from the pics

It looks like a gigantic adjustable trailing or radius arm

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Well if it's a trailing arm, adjusting that will alter the track of the rear axle I would guess. A bit like toe-in/toe-out, but when one side
toes in the other will toe out, if you see what I mean?
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

It looks as if it is held on by a couple of M5 screws or self taps, so wouldn't work for long.
