K SEAL
Hi Guys,
Has anyone used K Seal for rad or head gasket leaks, and if so would you recommend it?
Cheers.

I've used K-Seal for a heater matrix leak and it worked perfectly.

Used K-seal for a tiny head gasket leak - did bugger all. Although it does make your coolant pretty and glittery. It does tend to deposit a sludge in
low pressure areas along the coolant system (on mine it clogged up a few bits, but only slightly).
I'd probably use it for a rad/heater matrix repair, but don't bother if it's a head gasket.

I had a split in a plastic rad header and it did nothing for that.

it's a bodge. Best to repair what is wrong.
I bought a car that it had been used on. It had blocked up what it needed to but also blocked up some valves.
It took ages to get the cooling system back to as it should be.
I would put it in the same class as putting thick oil in a knackered diff or gearbox.

K seal (1) works provided you are not asking it to stop a massive leak (2) won't cause any problems.
Other radaiator leak sealers are likely cause trouble on modern car especially of some Honda models which have tiny bore coolant passages in
the head. ---
Bars leaks will choke waterways, Radweld can cause thermostats to stick closed.

Thanks for the info folks. I suppose I will have to try it and see if it works as the only downside is that it may not work. Leak is a small pinhole
in the rad. The rad is on a mates bike and I suggested using this rather than paying £180 for a new rad. I will also enquire if it can be repaired and
the cost involved if it can. I was just being cautious as it's not my bike and did not want to cause him more bother, if it was mine I would
have tried it straight away.
Once again many thanks to the folks on this forum which is the best I have ever come across.
