Tiger Cat E1 Quickrack possible?
Hi guys
Does anyone have any experience of fitting a quickrack on a Tiger Cat E1 ?
I've seen other Cat E1's on the web with quickracks including one that said they bought theirs from Tiger, but when I enquired I was told
there's no quickrack available for it as it uses Cortina parts.... Im confused!
Many thanks

Hi,
In the past i also asked this question on this forum, but i was also told it was not possible since the Cat is based on a in the NL known Ford Taunus
(Cortina) the mounting point with a Escort rack are getting outside the car.
And i have a Escort Quickrack over here and it doesn't fit.
Maybe the other guys have modified there Cortina ones??

Thanks Sebastian
Yes, quite possible that other people have modified their own.
Shame, it really does need a quickrack and I was hoping for a simple solution! (its never easy! )

i looked into this when i had a cat, the only way is to have one made up. We tried a group buy but couldnt get enough people interested. was going to
cost about £350 but it was a very high spec unit, more details will be on the tiger owners forum

There was a group buy on the Tiger site a while ago but dont think there was enough numbers to make it cheap. Does anyone know why we cant use a
sierra or escort rack on the cat.

They are not the same length and would give you bumpsteer problems.
I think you will find that it is a Cortina Mk3/4 rack BTW. You may find one about out there as they were available at one time but the firm that made
them are no more.
