Winter Storage
Hi all,
I'm about to move into a garage with a two bed house attached! :-) You can see where my priorites are ;-)
I am planning to take the car off the road for winter to do a bit of work and keep it away from wet roads.
Question is what do people do to there cars while not driving them for a period of time. Things like leaving the handbrake off etc.
Is it worth putting the car on stands etc to stop flat spots on tires.
Any hints tips would be greatly appreciated

All I did was fill petrol upto the top, the oil & oil filter change and coolent/water, give it quick start up to coat everything, switch off, pump
up the tyres high and leave it on a trickle charge, I often wondered if the fuel would go off but it never did.

All I've done these last two winters is fill the car full of fuel, leave the handbrake off and put a cover off it.
Each year I've had to replace the battery but will be leaving the car on a trickle charger this year to prevent needing to replace it next year.
When it comes to putting the car back on the road I always do a oil, filter and coolant change before using it.

I'm a 'park it and leave it' kinda guy too.
Although I do put the battery on a trickle charge occasionally through the Winter.

If your single, then I would put the 7 in the spare room, problem solved, as it will be nice and warm, !

Only thing id do is take the battery off the car, just incase you have a slow trickle drain from the loom.

Usually followed by:
remove cover, pull apart, improve, rebuild, hurry up to be ready for spring ;-)
