anyone used northampton motorsport?
if i ever get the time over the next few weeks to the indy back together then i'm going to be looking at getting
1. my twin 40's jetted and set up properly.
2. all steering and suspension set up properly as it's still sitting as was when i took it for SVA test over a year on!
3. i'm thinking of getting it corner weighted.
went to this place a few years back with an escort owners club for a RR day and they seemed to know thier stuff, just wondering if anyone has any
experience with them carrying out the above tasks?
my general idea is stick the car on the back of the wagon from work, dump it with them for a week with a list of things i want doing then go fetch
when it's done.
your opinions good or bad are as always most welcome.
cheers
john
built a car, built a home, had a family. lost the family, lost the home, still got the car.

The place I rolling roaded my car almost recommended them! They said they know their stuff so if a rival company says they're good they
can't be bad. Have also heard good reports from others on here, a search will probably bring their accounts up..

Hi they are pretty good with the rolling road altho as with most places i have heard 1or 2 bad reports but genrally most people are happy with
them.
As regards thier suspension setting service i think if you do some research you will find they are well ott on the price's they charge
espesially if you want your dampers run on the dyno which is certinaly worth doing. Thier are other companys for the suspension setting such as track
development at castle combe and thier is an other company that i shouldent realy mention.
Also for rolling road work thier is lynx AE who charge £55 perhour for the rolling road work cant think exactly were they are but not far from
silverstone i think.

I got mine rolling roaded there, XE on Dellortos and Megajolt. I came away happy and would use again.
Can't comment on suspension setting and corner weight service tho.

took mine there to be set up with 40's, very nice bunch of guys and very helpfull! Did walk away paying £400 tho as they werent happy with some
things inc the linkage so had to pay for some extras! GULP!! Tbh, it was money I wish id never spent, mainly cos it went better with the 32/36 carb on
it albeit a little less reponsive. But mainly cos i blew the engine up on track a few days later! They couldnt get it running spot on, but i dont
think it was all their fault. I would use them again yes.

Northampton Motorsport are pricey but still very popular, I live quite close to them and often drive past and plenty of seven-esque cars there.
Lynx AE are not that close to Silverstone at all. They are just outside a village called Hanslope which is roughly half way between Northampton and
Milton Keynes. The M1 runs very close to where they are (not that you can get off it there but gives you an idea if you are looking at a map).
Not used them for any work but popped in for a chat and seemed very friendly and knowledgable.
