rack to quick rack

i have recently been thinking that the rack i have is not as quick as i would like.

Tiger tell me that the standard one that should be in there is the cortina 3.75 turn one.

Does this sound "slow" to you?

Does anyone know if there is a faster cortina rack?

I have the Sierra rack in mine, which I think is around 4 to 1. I recently fitted a 2.4 to 1 quick rack, and now wish I hadn't, makes the steering bloody heavy, so much so that I may change back to the original. HTH Ray

really! i had worried about that. i am fed up with having to hand fist the wheel round for quite shallow bends. i was just wondering if people put up with it or whether mine was especially "slow" rack wise.

Lots of people have a lot of success with a quick rack.

To be honest I'm not sure Chippy's experience is typical, remember, his car has quite large wheels and weighs about 1500kilos!

Sorry Ray!

Cheers,
James

does anyone know if there is a quik version of the corntina rack or would i have to change to something like the sierra? I'm not really sure how easy that would be?

Thanks for the help

James that is definately going to cost you a coffee next time I get up to Newlands. I will admit that having 205 x 40 x 17 tyres probably doesn't help, and a car that weighs Hmmmmm! kilos, (just a tad over 900). Regards Ray
