OT: Anything to do in Glasgow?
Hi,
This thursday I will travel to Aberdeen for my work. Thursday evening I will travel to Glasgow where I have a hotel.
Is there a pub that I should not miss? Live music? Tasting whisky? Any other tips?
Cheers, Maarten

There is much to do.
For pubs, avoid anything Green or Blue. When I lived there my favourite pubs where the Todds Bar at Strathclyde University or a Bar on Cambridge
street that I can't rember the name of (Its opposite the thistle hotel and I lived literally around the corner from it.
If your there in the day, I'd reckomend seeing Kelvingrove house and the Necropolis/St Mungos and maybe a walk down the river and a look through
the shops.

My tip would be to head over to Ashton Lane, which is a small cobbled street lined with pubs and restaurants in the city's West End.
The Wee Curry Shop on Ashton Lane is a great example of one of the city's many curry houses.
After a visit there you could wander up and down the lane and check out some of the pubs, there's loads to try and there's a good buzz
about the place - maybe try Jinty McGuinty's or the Wee Pub on the Corner for fun too.
Its only a short taxi ride from the city centre, or you could can get the subway to Hillhead station, which is literally round the corner. If you
google it, there's loads of info on it!
Enjoy your visit!
