Exhaust
Hi
Just a quickie, well 2 actually. Firstly has anyone found any magic agents that clean all the burnt on road dirt, horse crap and chavs melted
tracksuits off polished stainless exhausts,or is brasso end elbow grease the only answer?!
sedcondly,my silencer is clamped to a pipe i made bolted directly to the turbo, and hence is effectivly solid from the manifold to the single rubber
bobbin i'm using to bolt it to the side if the car at the end of the can.No problems as yet,but when its hot the exhaust grows in length
10-15mm,hence stretchin the bobbin. Not the end of the world to replace it every few hundred miles if need be,i'm just interested how others have
overcome,or even noticed the heat expasnsion? Any idea's to play with over the winter would be appreciated.
Cheers
Chris

Number 1 should be cured by brake cleaner or white spirit.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

i sprayed mine with some Autoglym alloy wheel cleaner, and left it on while washing the rest of the car. it seemed to bring it up quite nice, although
the really dark bits on the end of the outlet still need some abrasive cleaning like brasso, or autosol

I have a cleaner at work called Alko-Bee. We use it to remove burnt oil deposits in Aero-Engine oil pipes.
On a better note its fabulous for car exhaust dirt etc. Not sure if its commercially availiable. Worth a go!
