Guys
I have a powdercoated MK chassis but wondered if I should Waxoil the chassis also? it this overkill?

I think the general concensus is that the internal combustion engine will be banned long before our chassis' have rusted away.
Ours is 7-8 years old now and lives outside, when we came to replace bits of the chassis, there was only a dusting of surface rust inside the tubes

I'd waxoil up the lower outer tubes, as they're open, then plug them with something, just to be safe.

It will not harm, but might-make it look messy (can attract dirt), personally I would and am going to.. Mine is hand panted so there is more reason to
do this. Having said this the powder coat can be good, or not depending on how well done it is some have had some issues with powder coating, once it
starts rusting your in trouble.. do a search..
If you use a rag to put a coating of waxoil on the tubes this will fill any small pin holes in the powder coat (like said should'nt be any
but...).. You will find you can just leave a waxy coating that can be buffed up after it drys a bit, still not as shiny as leaving without, and will
attract dirt.
