OT Nokia 5800 or HTC Magic
Hi all!
I am getting near the point to change my mobile and am looking at these two as they are both free. Any comments as to which is good bad or
indifferent. Have currently got an N95 so am familiar with Nokias but I keep hearing positive things about the HTC. All views welcome!!
Cheers
Chris

If you like the N95 - have a look at the N86 8MP (I just got an 86 as a free upgrade from the 95)
its not a toch screen (which I think is a good thing!) and basicaly the same setup as the 95, but everthings improved - especialy the battery life!
camera's ok but not its main selling point (despite the name)
and its got 8Gb of memory built in + it can take a 16Gb memory card as well
and a FM transmiter built in too (not a great range, but works well in the cars I've used it in so far)

No experience of the HTC phones but I'm happy with my 5800 (and the RaceChrono app)

i have a 5800 and have just posted this on it! I like it. I had nokias before and just wanted a large touch screen that had internet and good video
replay. The apps i have are good and work well. Its alot quicker and customisable now its been updated. Although using nokia ovi to update is a pain.
Also you can get all of the outside bits off of the bay. I smashed my screen and got a new one including fitting kit for 35 quid!
It gets my recommendations. I dont know the htc though!
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

that seems a bit OTT, especialy when they are giving away USB 3G dongle things for free
orange wouldn't give me my new phone (free upgrade) without a free dongle and free pay as you go sim as well

If you like the N95, go for the N97.
Almost exactly the same as the N95 but with touchscreen and keyboard.
It also has 32GB built in!!
Apparently almost exactly the same as the 5800 on the inside, but more like a bigger N95.
I got a really good deal online.
It's £35 a month, for 18months, 700 anytime minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited internet.

Thanks folks! There seem to be a fair few Nokia fans out there! And very few HTC owners! Thanks for the views though - appreciated as
always.............
