24v mig welder
Are these any good for little jobs, and what's the best way to power them.
Got my eye on one.
Brad.

Probably with a couple of car batteries, nice and transportable - NOT , or a very expensive transformer. After all of that, I can't see them
being any use apart from an 'emergency' weld, but how good would that be? The experts may be able to clarify better than I!
Cheers, Nick

I have an American 24-40v mig, IIRC its called a "Ready Welder"...
A good bit of kit, though you do need good deep cycle batteries (which aren't cheap)...
I do alot of off-roading, worth its weight!!
As for it being a garage based welder, i'd choose something else...
