Leaky rear bearing part 2
Ok .. Fix did'nt work..
Sooo...
Bought a 'new old stock' from very old parts place round the corner..
Got an original ford escort rear bearing - first thing i noticed was the raised lip.
This is the correct bearing to axle case seal - held firmly by the 4 bolt retaining plate..
No leaks here... 
I took this picture of a spare Capri bearing with identical fitting to show the lip seal extending
beyond the metal bearing face.
