Not wishing to rain on your parade but I got one a while back - not worth even a tenner I'm afraid.
The current in mA is just about measurable but is nowhere enough to even keep a battery topped up never mind charge a battery.

Arent these things supposed to keep a battery topped up ONCE they have been fully charged as opposed to actually charging them?

Ive been using a ebay £12 solar charger on my caravan, for a couple of years
From flat to a usable charge to move the van with the mover takes about 3 days
As just a top up, its pretty good,

That has always been my understaanding of these but thuis clearly described as a no cost tricle charger a well as for maintaining batteries in
caravans boats and cars left standing for long periods. We shall see

yes they do hold the charge when Fully charged or 95% charged etc. I used it in my caravan for that and was great for years.
Just did not run the alarm and hold charge.
Shame.
I now have a 4w one which is better and holds the charge with the alarm on.
Thanks

I bought one for a tractor (alernator is knackered) which gets used about once a month and it charged
the battery from flat over a month or so and maintains it enough to start every time.

I use one of these as well and it's fine, my car can be laid up for months on end though so I disconnect a battery terminal and leave on the
solar trickle charger. Without it I'd have a flat battery every time.

We just started using one on our transit which often sits for weeks without use but then wont start as the alarm etc seems to drain the battery a tad
too much. As a trickle charger its been perfect and has kept the battery fully charged, whats it wil be like come november though......
