steering bush
I am considering fiting a bearing in place of the nylon bush on the siera column, this bearing will hopefully go ove the triangular section of the
steering shaft and mount to the bulkhead. Has anyone done this if so what side bush do i need ie the internal diameter
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

Keep the sierra standard bush - this will fit inside the bearing. I can't quite remember the bearing but will check...

Here's how I did it - I think I got mine from Bolton Bearings on eBay - the plastic insert from the Sierra column fitted straight in (apparently
some people have had to sand it lightly to get it to fit). As the bearing can be angled you don't even need to weld an angled plate to the
bulkhead - just drill two holes to mount it!

I never knew these solutions exiated! I was being mocked at the weekend for having play in my steering wheel. I just said it helped take thw bumpyness
out of the track!!
Added to my purchase list. Thanks.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!
