CVH EFI Turbo inlet mod??
All,
I need to lower/remove my existing inlet to allow a standard raw bonnet to be fitted. I,m thinking
about creating a new plenum on the lower part of the manifold then remounting the throttle body
towards the front of the engine. I can not lower the engine as it will foul the chassis.
I,m wondering if this will work or if there are other manifolds that could be used/modified?
Obviously i expect some cutting and welding
Thanks in advance

There are compact plenum type manifolds made for the Zetec (e.g. Griffin) and since you can buy an adapter plate to fit a CVH manifold onto a Zetec
head, presumably it's possible to do it the other way around?

I'm putting a RST engine in mine and I was sure i'd seen a photo of one with a modded inlet, i've had a dig through photos
i've saved and found this, which is probably the sort of thing you need.

Yes thanks that's exactly what I was thinking of ,I have also seen a mix
Of the rover plenum used. I have also seen rubber connectors used between the
Plenum and manifold.
What I need now is someone who could fabricate something similar?
I am struggling to find the Griffin inlet?

It looks like in the photo I posted they are using a twin webber inlet manifold with the custom plenum

Would be easier to make a complete plenum and manifold from scratch as i did, pics in archive.

A Rover M or T series inlet manifold fits on to the CVH head without much modding. Do s web search on it it should turn up info.
I have a Rover 820 turbo manifold in the shed

Thought I would update this thread.
After purchasing the manifold on ebay i found i could not use it how i liked.
So I started to fabricate my own, this is what i ended up with car runs
fine apart from a high tick over which i had with the standard unit.
