Silencer clearance
How close can I put my silencer to my fibreglass bodywork? At the moment I have 25mm clearance

That kind of what I would have liked, I'm thinking I may put a stainless shield alongside the silencer?

More than enough as long as you have good airflow, if worried stick some reflective material on the glass.
The pod was touching on my car, it's pretty tatty so banged in a rivit to space it out, it's been fine with 5mm

I made my own exhaust and manifold system early in the build. It worked fine. I have just got to final assembly and after putting the fiberglass sides
on I had about 30mm rear and 10mm front clearance. Spent half a day cutting the whole thing up and electric glueing it back together again and
eventually I have about 35mm all along the silencer and a bit more where the CAT is.
If I built another I would wait until side panels were all on and then make the system - ONCE!
