Some of you really do talk a load of sh!t!
Good luck to her.
Unfortunately F1 has such an embedded sexism in it's culture I suspect she'll have great trouble breaking into it but let's hope she
gets a fair go.
Anyway, anything's gotta be better than looking at those ugly mugs of the likes of the Shumachers!
We're in trouble by the way boys. It's well known that women make better astronauts than men. At their current rate of speed increase,
women will be sprinting faster than men within about 50 years (according to an article I read in the Sunday Times a while ago) and I'm sure
they'll soon turn out to be better F1 drivers!
Cheers,
James

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

So, you are saying that no male has ever spun an F1 car? Has never had a prang? has never made a b*lls up in a car/racing car?....
I am surprised at some of the above comments.
James is so right, there is so much sexism in motor sport, it makes me mad
I have built my own car (except the chassis, but that was before I could weld), and built my own engine. I also know just more than a bit about race
tracks, and yes, I have held a race licence (National B race) for a few years.
And ...... I am a woman....and NO I am not gay, or bi or owt but straight!

the thing I find strange about sexist men is how many of them depend upon a woman to look after them. They can perhaps weld a chassis, but cant wash a
pair of socks.
They cant cook, cant iron, cant keep house, use a wahing machine, tumble dryer or iron.
If you cant do those simple things, how can you consider yourself superior?
Im off to iron a shirt for tomorrow now

My mate used to race against her back when she did TKM karts. He said she was pretty rubbish back then.
It seems she has done pretty well at the tests though, she was meant to be pretty quick and at least it shows she was pushing it not pootling
round.
I think any woman good enough to get into F1 would be snapped up straight away by the media, look at stuff like formula woman.
and Danica, you definately would! And she can definately keep up with the big boys in Indy.

Men and women have a mutually benificial relationship. Women can do all the cooking, cleaning and child rearing with little or no training.
And men can handle the heavier things. In my house I do all the majour works. Plumbing, wiring, changing windows, pulling down ceilings and tend to
the estate lol.
People should stick to what genetics and years of social politics has deemed best.
In other words, stay out of my garage and where's my tea? x

Having once known someone who crashed a second-hand F1 car, I have the greatest respect for ANYONE who can drive one of those round a circuit! Even
going fast in a straight line is an achievement, let alone managing the twisty bits.
As far as I'm concerned, the only real limitation is the sheer physical muscle power that's needed to drive one of these beasts, and the
need for great stamina.
