PC Speakers

I'm after some cheap PC speakers that sound okish for my PC. Don't want to spend a lot (<£25) but want to be able to listen to music - currently through my monitor speakers I'd rather listen to the PC's fans whirring away.

I was thinking probably a 2.1 set - ie subwoofer and two normal speakers. Anyone got any recommendations?

I'm not expecting Hi-Fi quality - Have proper separates in the lounge for that.

Ta,
Chris

I got some cyber acoustic ones for £15 i think. Was a 2.1 system, not the most powerful but produced clear decent sound..

Do a search on fleabay but put a distance filter of say 10 miles; then if nothing is listed save it as a favourite search & when a set turns up email the seller to see if you can pick it up locally. That way if you win an auction you can put the full £25 into buying the item.
Then again theres always >

I bought some cheap as chips speakers off Ebay. I seem to recall cost me £8 all in. So much better than the monitor speakers and sounds just fine.
Gaming, music, whatever really. Still fire up the DTS surround system / amp when I want to listen to something hifi but for bog standard pop / rock music I play it through the computer...
Only real improvement would be a subwoofer for the artillary strikes on CallofDuty2

Just been having a look online and these Logitech speakers seem to get good reviews at a few retailers and <£13.

Got the same speakers from the same company as they are local.
good performance for the price, wouldn't feel cheated at twice the price. They even look smart and look more expensive
tend to use the comp to listen to music when in the diningroom/kitchen as it better than the ipod speakers!

If it doesn't fit MODIFY it!!

We've got a set of those in the workshop at work.

Amazing sound and not much money. Got ours from Ebuyer, don't know what they were charging.

Cheers
