Hooray for me

Two weeks ago I was made redundant from the engine test department I work in. (They shipped the work to Germany) But I didn't want to bore you with that.
Today I got the phone call that the development transmission builder job I applied for had come good. And 5k a year more money. And walked away with 19k redundancy
I feel a project coming on!!!!!!!!!
Steve.

Congrats,

Funny how things sometimes turn out - what probably felt awful has actually changed your life I expect for the positive.

£19k plus about £400 a month more - rock on!

If you want a project then can I suggest a Raw Striker Build, filmed and photo'd all the way through

Steve,

Brilliant news - So pleased for you!

I'm assuming that you will be helping the old lot in their move to Germany by (ahem) 'clearing up some of the old crap' to save on transportation costs?....

£19k - Locost Ultima?...

Cheers, Neil.

My sister in law could have taken voluntary redundancy - mega big pay out. She turned it down as she said she rather have a job than look for another !

Her boss and her friend took it - her friend had something like £16k.

The boss had been head hunted for quite a while and walked into a job the following week - offering her friend a new position and a BIG payrise. Sister in law sick as a pig

Her friend payed the whole lot off her mortgage (when mortgages were sensible sums) and didn't spend the payrise until she'd cleared the mortgage.

Fate mate, good luck !
