Undoing Rear Wheel nuts...
I know this sounds dumb, BUT....
I took the wheels off my car, onto axle stands and then found a spacer on the rear hubs.
Problem is I can't undo them cos the flippin thing just spins with the axle.
There is no sticky out bits on the drum brake rear hub so shove a bar through a hold it steady that way, so I'm stumped. No engine so
can't put it in gear, no hand brake so can't apply that...
any bright ideas guys?

Just a thought, is there anything on the driveshaft you may be able to use like a uj you can stick something in to stop it moving?

If you have studs just jam a bar across 2 of them whilst you undo whatever secures these spacers, if you're on bolts just pop a couple back in
& jam with a bar the same as with studs.HTH

try shouting and swearing at it like a madman - it won't undo them, but you'll feel better 
As above, use a bar or steel strap wedged or bolted between the studs/bolts to lever against.

bar ACROSS the studs might work, they are done up pretty tight though, and if the bar slips.....
oh I never liked my knuckles anyway, so I'll give that a go!

Drop it down on the wheels is the best option.

Pop a couple of nuts onto the end of the studs - will make sure the bracing bar cant easily slip of the ends of the studs. Worked for me with Sierra
hub nuts and that took a 3/4 inch breaker bar with 3ft of scafold pole to move them and a solid steel bar to prevent the hubs turning

Reading it again though it looks as though you won't get at the nut through the wheel centre.

Can't put the wheels on and drop it to the floor because of the spacer, I can undo the wheel nuts no prob, but the spacer nuts are between the
wheel nuts so are covered by the metal of the wheels I'm using.

At the risk of sounding silly, have someone stand on the brake pedal whilst you're undoing the nuts (apologies if you have no brakes)

Get an impactgun. Maybe you can borrow one or rent one? Or buy a (cheap) electric one 18V or so. Or put the nuts/bolts on there without the wheel. You
can use that to hold the hub while someone else removes the spacer.

It's a spacer which bolts onto the hub. The wheel is then bolted into the spacer.

stick the ratchet/spanner onto one of the nuts and point the ratchet/spanner back across the centre of the hub. smack it hard with a hammer to break
it loose.

Put a bar across between the wheel nuts to stop the hub turning, then undo the spacer bolts with a socket and breaker bar / impact wrench.
Pretty much like everyone else has been saying really! Don't see the big problem!
Or, if you don't want to try and ebay the spacers - just grind the f**kers off.

Can't you just hold it and use a air-impact-tool?
