Winter Modifications

I took some photos today, so I thought I'd post some showing my winter bodywork mods.

The main change is the Aluminium scuttle. BIG THANKS TO TREV D FOR MAKING THIS FOR ME!!!
Trev is a top bloke who revisited it loads times to get it just how I wanted it, and I can't thank him enough. I helped a bit though.

I made a new dash out of Aluminium, to replace the MDF one previously fitted. It's exactly the same but lighter.

I fitted a Westfield exhaust system (needs a clean) in place of the Lolocost one and made and fitted a vent (needs polishing) in the old hole.

I made a new bonnet as I'm now running twin 40's, so didn't need a hole for the air filter any more.

I also made and fitted a curved slightly more raked aeroscreen.

I think it's made a big difference to the look of the car, much sleeker than before.

See what you think. There are some pictures of how the car looked before in my archive.

David

It's a hot 1660 x-flow on 40's. I'm getting used to the extra power now, but I did have an off 1st time out in the wet whilst on the way to Stoneleigh. I left the road coming off a roundabout onto a slip road, but fortunately managed to catch it before I hit any lamposts. I ended up with quite a lot of top soil in the engine bay though.

My whole build diary flashed before me.
