Just wonder what is the most impressive car you have passed while both racing, and a quick description of your car, thanks.

Dean
As this is a locost racing website, the most impressive thing I've passed is a Locost

Mind you, I did pass the championship winner once last year (albeit he had just had an accident, and retired 1 lap later).

As for describing the car - check out the avatar, and my website http://www.TeamDickie.co.uk and if you want any more info, post it on here, and I'll see what I can do.

Should i've post this in the driving section instead? I was thinking more of on track days when everyone brings all sorts of cars out to race around. Iam just asking because i just watched a video of a locost passing a ferrari 355 which i thought was way cool.(56k beware) Click here Right click and save as on the 9th one down under "video mega busa" it's 26mb.
If you watch just after he passes the 355 he fingers him, whats up with that?

To be fair. That Fezza, was far from being driven to the limit.

It just goes to show all the money in the world thrown at a car, doesn't make you a good driver!

I know it's not exactly on topic (as it's free practice and not in even in the same sessions as Locosts) but there is a 1970s V12 Yardley BRM F1 car that practices quite regulary at Mallory - the noise that thing makes is almost better than sex, if you're keen on engines there is very little better than listening to it accelerating out of Gerrards on a clear track.

Back on topic, loads of rich numpty drivers drive impressive cars and can't drive them round corners to save their lives so E-Types, Ginettas, wedge type TVRs, most saloon type Formula etc etc are often easy game - Ok on the straight they can often just put their foot down and pass you back but the fun thing is you've still just overtaken them with a pretty standard 1300 x-flow and a lot of them get quite upset about it - which is even more fun :-)

Dean - from the video my guess is that the driver of the 355 has been holding up the guy in the Lotus and generally being a bit of a pain in the arse. Looks to me like the Lotus driver gives up trying and lets the Westie through to have a crack at him - which he duly does and points out the Ferrari driver's lack of track manners.

Amazing what stories a fertile imagination can make up about a bit of video footage. i should get a job working for Tony Blair's spin doctors shouldn't i?
