In the class I'm interested in everybody swears by Avon ACB10s but they're poor in the rain. Does anybody have any experience of Avon CR500s. I need a RL tyre for up to 9" rim so the available selection isn't great and the wrong choice is going to be expensive.

Hi,my brother races a caterham in roadsports with cr500s.Infact they are the only tyres you can use in the regs for both roadsports and roadsports b.The drivers seem to love these tyres.They wear down rather quickly and are quite soft but can be used till there completely knacked for testing and track days.Most of the drivers put on new sets if the race is in the rain though.Ask on a caterham forum to see what the drivers think of them.Paul.
