Steering column

Hi

Can anyone advise me where the best place would be to get a steering column for an MK Indy R? Also is there any extra modification required for a paddle shift gear selector?

Any help would be really appreciated.

It's a standard sierra column with a lengthened link bar.Mk are doing a paddle shift for my indy r and they have to modify the column, ab performance sell a paddel shift kit but not sure if the column needs modifying for that one,you could give Andy a ring there,he's always very helpful.

Thanks for the info. I tried MK today. They can supply the paddle shift but not the steering column as they don't have any. I found this a bit odd as I thought that they can supply an Indy fully built?

Send this to Mk and two weeks later get a modded one back.

I've just had a look through the price list for mk indy and it looks as though they charge £70 to modify the steering column from your own donor. If you don't have your own steering column, there's a £30 surcharge...

I *think* that's what it looks like but i may well be wrong - if I am, please call me a muppet

MK modify your steering link, not your steering column, they weld a tube in the link to extend it by about 2ft,when you buy a steering column try to buy a complete one, with the covers, key, wiring, switches etc, because they are also a pain to get hold of,also try to get the link bar at the same time, scrap yard change me £20 but I had to remove it myself, ebay is also another good place if you don't want to crawl round scrap yards.

Heres what you need .
