Tiger Avon - Polo Rad - Hoses etc - Advice please
wombat - 4/4/13 at 10:40 AM

Hi,
Looking at ordering blue silicone hoses for my build, 2.0 Silvertop to Polo Radiator.
There are various threads on this but cannot find a 100% clear one for this application.
I will buy the metal top pipe link from Tiger.
Yes I could purchase the lot from Tiger but they only do standard black.
Think I will also need a Temperature Sensor fitting for Acewell Dash ?

Thinking of using www.autosiliconehoses.com , unless the collective knows better.......

Ta
Bill

Think Eddie99 was doing hoses for a while?

Else there's the usual suppliers - Samco etc.

depends which thermostat housing you have,
but my acewell temp sensor, went in the bottom of the thermostat housing.
I think it's a late silverstop black plastic housing.

Thx for replies already !

GDP66 - Mine is a black plastic thermostat housing, I will look underneath for an outlet then :-)

Anyone have a definitive plan/layout for my application?

To put it another way, what do i need to buy......

Correct me if I am wrong please

Top Hose Rad goes to large outlet on Thermo via an ally link pipe (the bit from Tiger) = 2x45 degree + 1x90 degree with straight joiners

Bottom Hose Rad goes to Thermo with 2xT Pieces which go to ??

Overflow at Rad goes to Expansion Tank (Rover 25?)

All advice greatly appreciated :-)

If you're buying from www.autosiliconehoses.com enter ASHHOSES as a discount code at the checkout and get 15% off

(That's from memory - ask me if it doesn't work and I'll find the paperwork)

Russell thx for that , will give it a go.

Ok, black thermostat housing, looking from rear I have 3 outlets on the left (exhaust side then) 1xlarge 34mm + 1xmedium 21mm underneath it and a small 9mm out of the top. On the right side is a 20mm outlet.
Sender switch is screwed into the top.

Plumbing plan please.

Bill
