What was your exerience of running LPG on a kit car ?

Ebay was down this morning for maintenance.

LPG experience? ... Not good !

I bought the car cheap because it was a dog. It was set up to run on LPG only which doesn't work when it is cold. He had put an immersion heater in the water system and a circulating pump. It had a 13 amp plug on a long lead and you had to plug it into the mains for 20 mins to warm the engine up!

There isn't enough room for two fuel tanks, so a dual fuel set up is impractical in a light weight kit.

The car is a Vauxhall Viva/Magnum based Griffon. I am breaking the car 'til I am back to the base kit and rebuilding it with modern GM mechanicals.
