Another Windscreen question

What screws have you used to attach the windscreen to the pillars.

The windscreen frame looks very small in cross section to get a decent screw in, and there appears to be a lot of resistance from the rubber under the screen. I am concerned that the this will not be a strong section. Any comments appreciated.

I'd tap a thread into the alloy frame, say an M5 thread and use countersunk screws going through the support. Use 3 -4 per side

Mt Caterham screen has rivnuts in the frame.

I used 3 m3 tapped into the frame.

Using something as big as M5 do they not break through and hit the glass. I am worried that M3 will not be strong enough to overcome the stress from the rubber

I use blind studs that are set in the frame and dont crack glass

I would agree that this is the best way to do it.

I had to be very careful with the length of the allen screws going into the screen.
