I want to fit some clear flexible plastic to the bottom edges of my front wings to stop all the road dirt getting flung back onto the back wings. I need something about 4 to 5mm thick, clear and two bits about 150 x 230mm each. Does anyone know where I can get this kind of think? Have looked on tinternet without much luck for small quantities.
4 to 5mm is pretty thick for that much curve, 3mm should do it ok. FOr impact resistance you want polycarbonate (Makrolon, or that stuff they make riot shields out of. Ebay will have plenty I should think although you will have to look past the twinwall stuff and find solid material

Ask for a sample from these guys?
In fact, do you know anyone who works in a warehouse/chiller and might be able to get a piece?

PETG copolyester sheet can be thin yet strong and is certainly bullet proof at automotive speeds even at 1 or 2mm thickness.
Manufacture spec reads:
A tough transparent thermoplastic polyester with high impact strength and very good optical clarity
Very good chemical resistance
Easily screen printed/ vacuum formed / good bend radius
High impact strength even at -29°C
I have used it as machine guards on large process machines such as calanders and extruders to great effect.
Actually using it as my headlight glass on my build, just because I have some available, and it will certainly stand up to some gravel lorry target
practice. Easy cut with a jig saw and trimmed with a knife or file.
1200mm x 620mm sheet is around £10. for 1mm thickness. £24 for 2mm thickness £35 for 3mm thickness.
