good idea
that trailer is just crying out for some aluminium panelling, if you put a pointy nose on it you'll get better mpg too
Fame is when your old car is plastered all over the internet

I like that alot.
Does it have guide ropes? and if so does that mean you have to park your trailer on dirt?

No guide roopes, just folds out, locks in position and drop the ladder for extra support. There are elasticatedropes inside the seams of the tent to
help tighten it up.
Also it has a built in 60mm foam matress and seperate pillows, which all stay in place when folded away. It also says you can leave you sleeping bag
in there and it will fold away no problem.
As the tent i have bought folds out length ways (as opposed to falpping up like the one shown on the trailer), its smaller when packed up, so i can
build a frame which sits the tent just above the bonnet so it will be directly behind the car and hopefully not affect mpg too much. I also
won't look such a knob sitting 10 feet in the air!!

How much did it cost out of interest?
I can see some fun being had if someone got hold of your car keys while you were kipping

Not cheap at £349, but a lot cheaper than most roof tents on the market!

On top of a light trailer rather than heavy car, 'domestic activities' will need to be kept to a minimum

Neat - just hope your frames are properly triangulated/braced as they seem slim for their length and the load they will carry with two active
people in there.

LOL, thats not my trailer, just an example, but i did think it looked a little flimsy!!. I'm going to use 50mm box tube and build a frame just
at the front over the bonnet

If domestic activities are planned, then make sure you put down the trailer legs, last thing you want is that squeeky indespension putting you off
your a game.

LOL, no worries about that, the wife :-
a). Hates camping
b). Hates cars (especially mine)
c). Has no interest in racing
d). Has no intention of coming along
e). and if she did, it would ruin the weekend because of the points a,b & c!!
To be fair, she did say she would come along once or twice and fain interest.
