My new race developed fury bodywork

Its taken a few months, and a few itterations but we have actually managed to acvhieve some good aero results, increased downforce with little or no reduction in top speed (compared to standard bodywork). Next job is to make a mould and a lightweight version!!! What do you think??

looks good, but with all those areodynamic bits helping to streemline and get an edge on your opponent why have you not faired in the healights. aka etype style?

In time in time!! I did have covers on it before, as made by Andy westgate, but they dont fit now. Over the winter either the mould will be changed to have built in lights that are more streamlined, or some covers made. I want it still to resemble a fury as its a great car, not sure how recognisable it will be though

Like it!, quite aggresive looking whilst staying away from a 'max power' look.

Sorry Austen! No harm meant, its just that the way the shirt is hanging makes you look like you have a big beer gut

Obviously, I know that in reality you are a finely honed specimen

Lol, its a reference to some homebrew cider one of the racers dad makes, but apple whisky is a more fitting description due to its alchol level and its effects!

Knocked 2.5secs off my laptime from earlier in the year, qualified 3rd and 2nd in class, 11th and 9th overall. Race 1 ended after 2 laps due to a blocked fuel filter! But race 2 I got 2nd in class

Good mods.

Thought about adding side skirts and fences to the diffuser?

It'll speed up the airflow under the car, improving downforce and further reducing drag...

Best Regards,

Steve.

replacing sills next so they go straight down (well out turned curve like front lip) and extending floor so fully flat bottom. We cant have fences on the diffusers, floor has to be flat.

liking that, looks like it will work properly too. Can you fair the headlamps in with perspex covers? or can you dipense with the headlights altogether? If not how about rounded extensions that mimic fairing and then fit dinky projector lamps?

Blimey!

At east I can now be confident that the bodywork that the FiFi guys are working on for me isn't going to fall fowl of the RGB aero rules if those splitters and tails are O.K.

Looking very tidy.

congratulatiions, on the results and the shape, that looks very interesting, in a good way, :-)

is the gap between the tail so you can see behind? could you have a clear wing in there like the TVR Sagais ones, and if you could, would it help.

how did you develope the design?
