External pull cables

Doing a season (first one) in Sprints and Hillclimbs and we've fitted external pull cables for the fire extinguisher and battery cut off. Running in roadgoing and need to get the car MOT'd soon, will the handles on the external cables cause a problem at the MOT (as I suspect they would at SVA/IVA) or will I be OK. I can disconnect them and pull them out if necessary (temporarily) if need be. What do you guys think?

i think it may be ok for mot. they're a bit less strict about the 'sharp' edges

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Mine passed sva ok. The extinguisher didn't! (the handle)
I removed the extinguisher for the retest but left the handles in.
As long as the edge radius is not less than 2.5mm, they will pass.

I used to race my Peugeot 205 in a road going class which required an MOT, mine passed each year no problem with external pull cables

Car MOTd today and sailed through (had to have a new horn but only cost £8) and no mention of the external pull cables, result.
