Superlight racing at 3 Sister

http://www.youtube.com/user/carpmart?feature=mhw5#p/a/u/0/aEDf92KmSqw

A gratuitous plug for a youtube video of me racing my Drakart (Fireblade powered) at 3 Sisters on Monday this week!

I was lucky enough to finish around 7th (20 odd cars on grid!) despite my incident with the tyre!

Thanks Eddie; I'm not sure I drove very well there as I made quite a few errors!

Anyway, to answer your other question, is it expensive. Unfortunate I'm yet to find a cheap motorsport but this is actually comparatively a cheap form. Set up cost for a new car is around £15k, from there its the usual, race entries (cheap), fuel to get there, fuel to use there, some form of race truck, something to live in when at circuit, then any maintenance cost of the vehicle and breakages and bendages.

I probably spend around £6k - £10k per annum on this!

However, on a bank for your buck, based on track time and total cost, its unbeatable!

The cost above is a total cost, including an allowance for breakages. That includes 9 championship rounds and 4 RallyX events so its a very complete cost.

Make sure you compare apples and apples when you talk about total cost.

Good luck with the formula vee racing!
