Excellent film, I enjoyed that.
Many years ago I stood next to Moss and Fangio at the drivers briefing for the Birmingham 'On The Steets' event, the forerunner to The
Birmingham Superprix, a magic moment.

Brilliant film. Love them just driving the cars through the streets on the way to the circuit.

haven't times change? back then the drivers apparel, caps and cars had no sponsorship stickers.
also note the 3 bales of hales in front of the pub used as a safety barrier.
.... and I'll bet none of the cars had seat belts

I'm a bit late to this thread but as it was nearly 60 years ago I don't suppose it matters.
Superb and what a good quality film. Total disregard to safety, amazing fashions with all the girls getting dressed up to the nines and very
atmospheric in black and white. I dare say you would still call it a sport in those days? Did you notice the Merc mechanic's split trousers
about 9:30 mins in?
Treachery and old age will always triumph over youthful enthusiasm.
