race license
Do you need a current driving license to gain a racing license,and if you were subsequently banned, would this invalidate the race license?

nope. you can get a race license at 16

I believe that if you lose your road licence, the race licence goes too.
A local youngster managed to get ten points all in one go.  He won't be driving anything for a couple of years. Instant loss of road licence
and race went with it.

so if one didnt have a race license, and was facing a potential ban it would be better to hold off applying till after the ban came into force?
