Chadderton Fail
Good "fail" yesterday at Chadderton, although the brake tester was broken,Would like to thank the tester John for hi input and general
conduct through out the whole test, he made me feel at ease and explained the best way to sort out the issues. Just a few stupid radius issues,
biggest issue really is providing documentation on tensile strength of seatbelt bolt. I think it is OK three lines at 120 deg with an L. I believe
this is grade 5 equivalent to 8.8 and the L represents the manufacturer. Having difficulty finding an 8.8 head for UNF bolt. They would have been
happy with an S not sure why.
Anyway easy fixes providing brake test OK.
A big thanks to all who have help over the last 3 years.

No charge if fail break test .. but will stil cost hire of trailer etc...

Re seatbelt bolts.. every scrappy has tons of tintops with correctly marked unf seatbelt bolts.
Got mine out of the front of a Ka, interestingly back ones were too long and unmarked!

good looking car john i was just arriving for re-test as you were leaving, they ended up putting mine in the next lane to do the brakes  but passed
anyway.
not a bad fail really should be on the road soon, and you can drive it to the test i did on both occasions

Thanks Chris... that is where I got the bolts from, but they are marked "L" not as there WEBsite anyway I think the S is the manufacturer
and the the 3 lines at 120 deg determine the grade.

3 radial lines = Grade 5 tensile strength 105,000 psi, which is less than the Metric 8.8 grade requirement for seat belt bolts (120,000 psi tensile
strength)

Not a bad fail mate.
As for the brake test, dont the do a decelerometer test around the yard if the rollers arnt working?.
