Wheel track and spacers
I've had the wheels off the racer this morning. Now, I thought I needed longer wheel studs as it'd never have passed scrutineering as it
was. What I found however is 25mm (non hubcentric) spacers all round; not my favourite things in the world. So what's the deal? Spacers
needed or not?
Cheers

25mm [1"] wheel spacers are the maximum size permitted by msa blue book rules for competition use.
You also need to have wheel studs/bolts with sufficient engagement (think min. 2.5x bolt diameter).
Wheel nuts have to be steel (except centre-lock nuts).
Don't be tempted by hub-centric 'spacers' which bolt to the hub and have separate bolts/studs for the wheels - these are deemed to
be 'composite wheel studs' and are specifically not permitted on a competition car.
You best solution would be to source wheels with the correct offset.

Hi Tim
Wheel spacers and the regulations have literally just been confirmed. Are you on the email list for the registered drivers for the championship. The
Hub centric and Non hub centric spacers are legal. However the bolt on stud and spacer kits are not.
I will U2U you regarding the use of the spacers.
If not on the List for the emails send Andy Pointer an email and he will add you on.
Cheers Matt
