The 5vy is 04-06. 02-3 is different
Why do you need an EXUP? It can be replaced with a littleelectronic box of tricks and save a load of weight and whirring. Search on here for Exup
widget and you should find instructions. Mines been on for almost 7 years now with no issues.

Sorry yeah just double checked and it's 04-06.
Dig innately interested in a replacement if I can get hold of one but ice read that a few of them don't work properly as a replacement?

I made my own using the info in THIS THREAD
I rubbish at that sort of stuff generally but managed it and did an idiots guide in
HERE
I have heard of some of the ebay ones not working. There are also reports of engines blowing with neither EXUP or widget so def do one or the other.

Hi
Tried one of those electronic widgets to replace exup
it failed miserably throwing up all kinds of faults.
Bought an exup motor took off the pulley & cut down the shaft
Just put it in the engine bay, its virtually silent
weigh's almost nothing, and .worked perfectly
Good luck

I made one myself with plans found on this forum. It's been on the car from day one. 6 years on the road and track it has never been a
problem
