I 'glued' (car body filler) wooden blocks on the inside of the nosecone then used penny washers and and wood screws.

I made my grill from 2" square weld-mesh.

I left two prongs sticking out top and bottom. Then drilled two matching holes in the top and bottom of the grill opening and slotted it in.

It could come out on it's own but hasn't yet. I stole the idea from Caterham

What type of grill material are you using and where did you get it from?

I got some nice expanded ali from my local boy-racer emporium - around £12 - £15. It's the stuff the Gary-boys put behind the grille openings on their Saxos, Novas, etc.

I fastened it the Westfield way - tie-wraps through discrete little holes in the rim of the opening. If you choose the colour carefully you can barely see them (unless you get close).

Recently finished mine, I used GRP resin to glue bolts onto inside of nose cone, the mesh simply fixes onto these (2) with a support nut and large washer, then another nut. The mesh was from a roll of course, so the fixings squash it flat. Mesh is square holed steel, heavy guage. its different and wont kink easily like so many others.
