Diff gear ratio

Hello people, just a quick question, could anyone tell me what ratio i should purchase for both the gearbox and back axle for next season I am ready to buy ASAP but want to make the right decision as moneys tight (1300 locost 750mc)?

I understand that Ideally rich drivers would try a few, but thats not an option.

mmmm.....difficult question realy as a lot depends on what power/torque you engine makes and where

He he he! OK that's a consideration but if you're starting out we've found that a good all round compromise is that if you have an Escort GT gearbox (don't bother with standard ones - they're not up to the job) then a 3.9 (3.88 or something to be completely accurate) is a decent all rounder. For a Type 9 gearbox a 4.1 diff will do a similar job.
