750mc racer for sale?
does anyone have a 750mc race car for sale? or know who has
looking for one for next season. part built one or cheap fully built one that needs tlc.
might consider buying a front runner for the right money but the R1 indy would have to go then so it would have to be a good one.

Hi i think you should post this question on the yahoo racers forum as that is where most of the competitors for locost racing hang out. At the moment
i can only think of one running car forsale that is colin beckwith's car it is a st early car that won the championship a number of years ago.
It has not been used for some time due to colin now competing in a mg sallon car. I think it needs a bit of tlc but all together and running was
forsale at £4000 wich is about as cheap as they get due to the demand for these cars to compete in one of the uk's closest racing
championships.
If interested u2u me your details and i can pass them on to colin as he dose not do computers. Iam of on hols after 4pm today and back on the 1st
july .
cheers matt

What race series in 750MC
Hi Paul,
Do you know what series you want to run in?
RGB (bike engined)
Kit cars
Locost
Stock Hatch?
As you can see there is a great variety of race car!
For RGB the cheapest car you will see is around 8K. You then have a choice all the way up to 15K for a front running, factory built car thats one
season old.
I may be selling my STM Phoenix R1 race car at the end of the year - have yet to decide whether I stay in class B or move upto Class A (its
comfortably the fastest Class B car on the grid). It was newly built for this year from a 2004 round tube chassis. It will sell for around 10K.
Cheers
Paul

Hi i can only realy comment on the locost and kit side of it . As you say after you have got the car and the tools to work with .
For a full season inc fuel for tow car and race car . One or two b+b stop over's for the double header weekends. A few spares ie joints or
head gasket one radiator or two . All entry costs inc club membership registration fee for the championship. You should really budget for about
£4000-£5500 per year.
Plus there is the matter af ARDS a helmet overals boots gloves fireproof underware which can easily add upto £1000-1500 depending on specs altho these
are a one off starting cost and should last a number of years.
The running costs of a locost and a kitcar are verry simmalar as the engines should only need a end of year rebuild not every other race. One set of
tyres will last a whole season at £40-60 per tyre
Where as things like stock hatch may need re paneling every othe race due to the door2door driving standards ect.
RGB is a bit more expensive to run the car despite what people will say and the price of competative engines is throgh the roof again despite what
people will say.
You would really need to come and see what is in the paddock and talk to a few drivers and watch a few races to see what looked like best value for
money to your self as we all as drivers are going to recomend what seems good to our self's whithout knowing were you are coming from.
Donnington on sept 17 the kit show would be a good start as we have a stand on the infield on the saturday with RGB and kits and locost cars on
display so you can also ask us any questions you like Then on the sunday we have RGB-LOCOST-KITS-BIKESPORTS all having a double header race.
Iwill be on the stand with kits and locost and can introduce you to the rgb stand people so they can also give you there selling points. Atho i dont
think there will be any stockhatch representative there you can always take away the packs for the championship away with you.
cheers matt
