Haynes Roadster

I don't Suppose the Haynes Roadster is going to be eligible for the locost series. Is there a series that it will be eligible for and if so does anyone have a link to the regulations?

It maybe could run in the 750mc kit car class with a car engine, but it would 1st need too be listed by the 750mc, it would be ok in the 750mc RGB series with a bike engine.
It would not as you guessed be eligible for the locost series.

Hi the locost championship is only for the original book car. And not likley to alter much in the near future.

Kit car championship is for cars from manufacturers that have produced 5 identical kits and bodywork and have applied to the club for inclusion.

This would mean that any home built car Ie built from a book or own desighn would not meet the regulations. Except the original book car built to the locost championship spec. But can not be entered with the 1300 engine. It must have a min of 1600 cc.

RGB which is the championship for the bike engine cars dose allow one off and prototype cars as long as they comply with the regulations. This is currently the onl class in the 750 mc where it would run.

There are other clubs and championships that allow allsorts of kit and sallon cars to mix it on track at the same time such as th e northern sports saloon championship and down south there is the semsec championship based at brands and lyden circuits.

cheers matt
