RGB videos from Anglesey

Here are a couple of great videos from Al Boulton from the Anglesey weekend. Al is one of the front Class C guys.

Race 1 - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DZo3rq3ewiE&feature=related

Race 2 - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DZo3rq3ewiE&feature=related

I'll put my videos up in the next couple of days (not quite as exciting as these). Enjoy!

Oops, thanks for the correction on the first link.

Al certainly accepts he was to blame for that collision (the blue car was Tim Gray), he is normally very fair and very rare for him to have incidents like that. Just a matter of braking too hard on cold tyres.

I assume that was a RAW Fulcrum he hit? I was pondering at work today about upgrading to the full bodywork myself but he reminded me one big reason why not....if you smack it thats a fair bit of GRP to repair!

full body

Also talk to Gary #goodyear, fulcrum bodywork is not aerodynamic, end of straight he was doing 121 and i was doing 125 in a phoenix with 35 bhp less! power is not everything! ok so he was 2 seconds a lap faster but that is not the point! i suspect Tim's is even less aerodynamic now!

The video from my first race is now on Youtube

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oDuZtMwfz18

This was a 30 min race which has been condensed to 9 mins. All the action was at the beginning and end so I've cut out the boring bit in the middle :-)

Bimbleuk - yes it was a Fulcrum that got hit. The bodywork came off reasonably OK, the main damage was broken wishbone mounts.

Cheers

Hi yep it is amazing how many of these so called aerodynamic full bodies that supposedly give 10 MPH extra down the straights. Actually slow you down in the real world by as much as 5 MPH.

Cheers Matt
