Good stuff Richard.
The Garron Point vid is a corker, as are some of the others folks' "how not to" postings.
Sorry, V8 powered Locosts don't handle, are too heavy etc etc.
From what I heard anyway

OMG! Scenery looks far too close and hard for my liky....
Just what I thought. There are some very solid looking bits of the countryside there. Like the way you clipped the bends with precission.
Cheers for the comments guys
Very true simon however my car isnt a std locost set up i built it more like a mallock the engine set far back in the chassis 60/40 weight split and
the block is tied into the chassis making it a stress member making the car very stiff.
But a busa one would be easier to drive ;-)
Looks good. Wish there were some place like that down here
Cheers, Nick
Hiya mate,
That video looks pretty hairy to me and you were close as anything to apexes!
I am also building a RV8 powered seven and I too have pushed the engine back as far as it will go in the chassis. I would be interested to see how
you have 'built' the engine into the chassis to help with stiffness. Surely connecting the engine directly to the chassis without rubber
mountings causes vibration problems? Couple of people on here have suffered from problems causes by vibration. Bubbles in the brake fluid etc caused
by vibration.
It's a race car... I doubt he's bothered by vibration.
