Teeside Autodrome Video - April 2009

I'm also currently uploading a short Video of the Teeside Autodrome - April 2009 hosted by the North East Se7eners....

Now we were two up and more than slightly slightly under powered compared to the two other Kawasaki's in front so pretty happy with the car so as Hellfire says " not much in this tussle! "

Link to follow shortly

Cool! really want to see this one. Want to see how the old zx9 goes.

marco - 12/5/09 at 09:43 PM

It has a bit of a slow start and I hung about whilst my mate Dave and Hellfire caught us up and past us so we could have a bit of a play..

The lack of power is really noticeable as those guys initially pull away on the long straight.. a little more late breaking helps though

I remember wadders playing with a few of the bigger boys in his zx9 powered 7. Just goes to show that power aint everything.

You'd know that for yourself if you pulled your finger out...........

You really need an external MIC fitted to get rid of the wind noise! Something like a "Zorst" MIC or the V Gain MIC from Dog Cam Sport. Tuck it out of the direct air buffeting and you can enjoy the engine sounds that much more!

Power isn't everything, nice driving!

I think this pic must have been taken during that vid.

Thanks Andy

I've got to come clean though and say i used to race at Teeside in my karting days so know the track pretty well . Although that said it is a totally different feeling in the Indy

I have looked at the mic idea but I cannot connect one to my Sony camcorder so I'd need to purchase a new camera/bullit cam kit unfortunately

Thats me in the Mk 1400zzr!
That was my first track day in that car at Teesside and before that vid was shot i had only had a 10min first session, so i was still finding my and my cars limits (thats my excuse!).
The car really needs a good supension set up and RR visit to be honest.
But lots of potential there!

I'm no stranger to Teesside kart track either, nothing serious though. Here's a vid a mate put up. It's me chasing my lad Pete, in World Formula karts. The one I was driving is up for sale at the moment, if anyone's interested.

( Kart for sale )

Crustaceans indeeed!

Looks good, I had a WF for a while and they were much easier to drive than the twin honda engines. Pity they had that briggs and stratton rubbish on them. I moved onto Rotax then a 250cc Biland 4 stroke...the daddy in my opinion ..

Did you go to Warden law much? that's a nice testing twisty circuit..

Andy D - 13/5/09 at 11:57 AM

Yes, I think Warden Law's a better track to be honest.. We've still got the W/F in the shed for the odd bit of fun. Pete actually won a "fun" race meet against the majority of prokarts a few months back. There's some vid on the tube somewhere, but the footage was spoilt cos some numpty (me) zoomed the lens before setting it away.

Mate's got right into it, him and two sons do the local races. He's selling that W/F on the bay, and gone Rotax. Too painfull for me!
