GOME is changing the goal posts again

Just had a quick look at the GOME entry list, looks like its anyone's game now they have a couple of MX5's entered!

Not exactly a low production or specialist one off sports car.... dust off an old golf or 205 and apply, who know’s you may be allowed in provided its not fitted with a Bike engine of course….

(bike engined cars are not eligible due to speed differential)
Specials.
Non-production sportscars built as a one off, Historic low
volume sportscars and Specials.
Hand built sportscars.
Sportscars supplied by a manufacturer in component
form for self-assembly. Cars such as Caterham, Ginetta,
Lomax.
Classic sportscars.
Pre-catalyst sportscars such as Austin Healey, AC,
Marcos, MG, Panther, Scimitar & Triumph.
Production specialist sportscars.
Sportscars presently supplied by a manufacturer. Nonpressed
steel bodied sportscars such as Ariel, Lotus,
Morgan, Vauxhall-VX220, Smart Roadster and TVR.

Is your average BEC faster than a 5lt TVR? A VX220 turbo or Hicost's 450BHP Locost?

Does seem a bit unfair!

As usual it depends on how bendy the course is and how much of an opportunity there is to put the power down.

Around Mallory best to have a look at RGB lap times versus the rest

Hi Mark, the two Mazda MX5's are old pre-catalyst cars, so they are eligible. They were bought on ebay just to do the event.
