Hi All,
I know it's hard to believe at the moment but summer is just round the corner so time to plan the BBQ car meet.
Same place and format as last year, i.e. bring your own burgers, sausages, drink or whatever, and Gaz & I will fire up
the barbies and supply the bread rolls, onions, sauces, etc.
Tea and coffee will also be on tap.
1 o'clock onwards. Should be a good afternoon.
As last year, not just kit cars, so hopefully a few "interesting" cars for you to look round.
All welcome
If you haven't been before then U2U me for the post code. (Clare, Suffolk/Essex border)
Cheers
Gaz and Paul G

my kit is still busted .... does a volvo 850 T5 qualify as interesting?
Hopefully the kit will be back together by then , look forward to seeing everyone . Mel
Essex Kitcar club meet is in Chelmsford same day. 10-12 at 'The Checkers'.
Might be a nice run up to you afterwards for some of us. ?? (if you would like us to of course )

Hi All.
Numbers are steadily climbing; that's 12 definite and several more probables and possibles.
Nice photo of one of the cars below......... Bu**er......... it's gone again.

Gaz came over to watch the GP and we had a count up.
Looks like 22 cars definite and a possible 10 others.
Looking good to beat last years total.
Cheers
Paul and Gaz
Hi all.
I thought i would come on and say 22 so far but it seems that i have been beaten to it.
It should be a good event this year and everyone is obviously very welcome.
I might even do a trophy for best in show, voted for by everyone...
Gaz
So who's going to do the no-rain dance on the day...?

I'm keen although will be in the 5 series as I'm unlikely to have the Indy IVAd in time.
Hope to be there...

Hi All,
Gaz and myself have been having a bit of a count up this afternoon and we come up with so far....
32 to 40 cars and 57 to 70 people.
Obviously it's all weather dependant so fingers crossed.
If anyone else wants to join in then drop me a U2U for the postcode.
If you can't come, bring a note.
Cheers
Paul & Gaz
I will be there!! With a ford puma though
Paul - it is at Gaz's place as before, isn't it?
(Mind you - it would be a bit of a squeeze getting all those cars on your own front lawn! )

Hi All,
Well, the weather forecast looks good for the weekend, fingers crossed.
Looks like we clash with the footy, trust the USA to muck it up.
We will stick a telly in the corner of the barn for anyone desperate to know the score. I might cast a glance at it myself.
Gaz has made the trophy (pic below) for the "Best Car in Show" to be voted for by all of you.
As you can see it's on a BBQ theme.
Just 3 days to go then. We look forward to seeing you all.
Cheers
Paul & Gaz

That trophy is brilliant!
Car has been off the road since September and not really got out to do anything in the garage but....... I might just make it as taxing it again
today!
So I may be there... but you probably wont spot me in the new 'Stealth Avon'

Unfortunatley my car is still not back on the road and my son has football training too, so hope to catch up when I can finally drive my car again
(not long now?)
Have a great day.
Rich
Telly now sorted, 32", in the barn/garage, aerial erected, and the whole set up tested by watching the qually.
Should anyone get lost then you can ring 07779561613 for directions.
Cheers All and see you tomorrow.
Paul & Gaz

Hi Paul

hope you can cope...
can you u2u me the postcode please.

Well - the Beeb weather site says that it's going to be gloriously sunny today - and HOT!!!
Make sure that you've got your sun lotion packed, and don't forget to wear a hat while driving if you're follicly challenged (like me).
Last time I went out for an hour's drive in weather like this I didn't know I was getting cooked as the breeze kept me cool - ouch...
doesnt look like im going to make it
didnt even get a mile before she boiled over!...
back to the drawing board i guess
Just got home thank you Paul and Gaz had a fab afternoon good company and some good cars. ATB Trev.
Some lovely cars there today - and it WAS HOT!
Scorchio!!
Thanks to Paul & Gaz (not forgetting wives, girlfriends, neighbours, etc) for organizing a great day.

well deserved.... nice car
As said above, thanks to all for organising,
had a really good time.
Good drive on the way back. Roads were a bit quiet
Much better than watching us loose AGAIN
Thanks for a good afternoon. Looks like i should have got there earlier!!
A big thanks from me - some beautiful cars there today. It was good to put some faces to the names. I doubt that I will ever see another Delorean in
my lifetime.
Did the Red Arrows do a flypast as planned??
Sorry for arriving late and leaving early - family stuff got in the way.
It looks like a good time was had by all.
I even blagged a ride in the Delorean.
Nice to see the Essex mob well represented. A few names to faces there.
Bob. We'll find you a bed next year. You'd be surprised what available locally.
Raz. Not so much Red Arrows. More a swoop from Richards dad in his bi-plane.
Thanks Ferg for the excellent pics, even if you missed the Swallow. It was the one beside that rough ol' red car.
Made amends below.
Cheers All
Paul & Gaz
